The House of Darwin Foundation was created to scale impact, not just products. What started with a message on a T-shirt has grown into a full-scale movement that partners with communities to co-design infrastructure that matters.
He grew up in Gunbalanya, a remote town in western Arnhem Land, where his mum ran the local youth hall. For Shaun, the basketball court wasn't just a place to shoot hoops—it was the heart of the community. A place where kids invented games in the dirt, shared stories, and felt like they belonged.
Years later, after playing AFL and living in Melbourne, Shaun saw what most city kids take for granted: access, opportunity, and polished spaces built to bring people together. Back home, those spaces were missing.
That contrast sparked a powerful question: What if we stopped building things for communities and started building with them?
